DECAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS


1. Clean the area where the decals will be applied with a soft cloth dampened with alcohol. This will remove any wax, oil or dust particles that will prevent the decal from sticking. After wiping the area with alcohol it is best to wipe the surface with a cloth dampened with clean water and let dry.

2. Carefully peel the tape and decal away from the paper backing. Hold the decal in position and stick the top or one side holding the other side up away from the surface. Rub the entire area beginning at the top or side that is on the surface and rub firmly from one side to the other using your fingertips or the sharp edge of a credit card. We also offer for sale a great little
decal application and removal tool. The decals have a pressure sensitive adhesive the harder you rub the harder it sticks.

3. Remove the application tape by pulling gently in a downward position. If a part of the decal starts to come up away from the surface rub it back down while the tape is still on, then proceed to remove the tape.


Note: The decals will not adhere to a surface that has been waxed. Remove all wax and residue with a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol or denatured alcohol before application. After the decals have been applied, the surface can be waxed over. The wax will not damage the decal, but will prevent it from sticking.


By default the decals are cut to be applied to the outside. If you want the decals to be cut to be applied to the inside please include that information when you place the order. Toward the end of the order process you are presented with a box for special instructions, please type in the box that you want the decals reverse cut to be applied to the inside. We also welcome any size or design preferences that you may have.


If you get air bubbles in the decal take a pin or needle and puncture the bubble to release the air.

 

Large Decals Application


For large decal application, hold the decal in position and stick the top or one side in place. Then using the sharp edge of a credit card working your way from top to bottom with firm pressure to prevent any air bubbles. To apply extra large decals we recommend getting someone to hold the decal in position while the other person rubs it in place. If you are uncomfortable with the process you may consider professional installation at your local sign shop.

Shipping:

All decal orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service. During the checkout process we First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation, Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation and Express Mail shipping options. All international orders are shipped via Express Mail International through the United States Postal Service.

Schedule:

Decal orders are mailed out on Friday of every week. Cut off time is Wednesday at Noon (PST). First Class Mail shipping typically takes 5-7 business days, Priority Mail typically takes 2-3 business days, and Express Mail is delivered the next day or second day by 3 p.m. Delivery Confirmation Numbers or Tracking Numbers will be provided via the email address on your order. Please allow a minimum of ten business days to process all custom decal orders. We do not maintain any stock decals. Each decal order that we receive is custom cut when we receive the order.
Orders received after noon on Wednesday are scheduled to mail out the next Friday. We do not maintain any stock decals. Each decal order that we receive is custom cut when we receive the order.

If you need the decals sooner please let us know when you place the order. There is a box for Order Notes on the shopping cart summary page (click on the In My Cart link in the top right corner) where you can enter your request, or any other special instructions for your order. We are happy to work with you to get the decals out at an earlier date. We also suggest that you send us an email to notify us that you have placed an order that you need mailed out sooner so we can be aware of the order and give it our attention. Note: All decal orders are delivered with your regular mail. First Class Mail shipments are delivered in a brown Kraft envelope. Priority Mail orders are delivered in a red, white and blue Priority Mail envelope or package and Express Mail orders are shipped in a blue and white Express Mail envelope or package.

If the mail receptacle is not large enough to hold the package, your postal carrier will normally leave a notice in the mailbox that delivery was attempted and your package is available for pick up at your local post office. They may also leave the package in a predetermined area (such as your patio door or inside a screen door) that has been previously discussed with your postal carrier.

International Shipping:

All international orders are shipped via International Express Mail. This is the only shipping method offered by the United States Postal Service that allows tracking on a package within the United States and other countries.

If the shipping cost for your order exceeds the amount charged, any remaining costs will be applied to the credit card you used to place the order or a PayPal invoice will be sent to the email address you use when you place the order.


Payment Options:
Our company accepts most major credit cards through our online catalog and by phone. We also accept orders by regular mail with a check or money order. Simply follow the mail order instructions below. We also offer the option to check out using Paypal.

 

Mail Orders

To order by regular mail, browse our online decals catalog and add your selections to the cart. Then print the order and enclose a check or money order for the amount of the decals + shipping and mail to the address below.

Decal Junky Privacy Policy


Your privacy is very important to us. Custom Signs Decal Junky will never use your name, address, phone number, or e-mail address for anything other than business with Custom Signs Decal Junky.

Furthermore, we will never sell, rent, or otherwise give any of the above information to anyone. We want you to feel comfortable and secure when doing business with us.

Be assured that the information that you provide when ordering a product is secure and protected. If you feel more comfortable ordering by regular mail, follow the steps explained in the Mail Order process above.

 


Check the Status of an Existing Order Placed:


To check the shipping status of an existing order you MUST include the order number in the subject line of all correspondence. 


You may also reply to your order confirmation that you received when the order was placed as it contains all of the information that we need to help you with your order.


NOTE: The exact time that the order was placed is printed on every order so please check  your order if you are unsure about the exact time that it was placed.

Shipping confirmations are sent to the email address on the order, the shipping confirmation contains the actual shipping date and a tracking number if applicable.

Shipping notifications are sent out on Thursday of every week. If you don't receive your shipping confirmation by Friday please check your spam folder before emailing.

Suggest Order Changes:

To suggest changes to an existing order all email inquires MUST include the order number in the subject line of the email. When the change request has been reviewed you will receive a reply stating that the changes have been received.

Decal Returns

We want you to be happy with your decal purchase and will work with you any way that we can to make sure you get the decals that you want. If for some reason you decide that the decal is not what you want we offer a refund minus 25% of the order total. Return the decal to us in the original condition and a refund will be issued. Decals should be returned within 30 days for refund or exchange.


Decal Errors

If your decal order contains an error and you need a replacement we ask that a photograph of the decal is emailed to us. If the error is made on our end we will replace the decal free of charge. If the error was made on your end, ex. mis-spelled names or words etc. we will work with you to get it corrected. Decal Junky is not responsible for replacing decals that contain errors that were not made by Decal Junky. We will work with you to get the error corrected but we do not replace decals that contain errors free of charge. Photos of decals with errors can be email to: Allison@decaljunky.com. Please include your order number in the subject line of your email.


Cancel Order

Decal Junky is forced to charge 25% on decal orders that are canceled after the close of business on the day the order is placed. If you place a decal order and then decide that you want to cancel the order we have a 25% cancellation fee if the order is canceled after the close of business on the day it was placed. If the order is canceled before the close of business and on the same day it was placed there will be zero cancellation fee.

 


Note: Decal Junky is not responsible for replacing decals that have already been applied. It is the customer's responsibility to proof the decal for errors before application.
